Privacy
Your birth details are personal, and we treat them that way. Here’s exactly what happens to them.
What we collect
To create a reading, we use your date of birth, plus your birth time, birthplace, name and gender if you give them. A compatibility reading also uses the other person’s name and birth details, so please only enter someone else’s details if you’re confident they wouldn’t mind. A pet reading uses your pet’s name, type of animal and birthday, the same way. That’s it, and you don’t need an account.
How your free reading works
Your free reading is worked out on the spot from the details you enter. Those details are packed into the page link so your result can load, and they aren’t saved to a database on our servers. It also means anyone you share the link with can see them.
How the paid reading works
When you buy a reading, the details it needs are sent to our payment provider, Stripe, as part of checkout. That’s how we rebuild your reading after you pay and keep your reading link working, so they stay in Stripe’s record of your order. Stripe also asks for your email, and we use it once, to send you a link back to your reading through our email provider, Resend. We don’t add it to a mailing list unless you separately sign up for the monthly email. We don’t run our own database of readings. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe, and we never see or store them.
Readings saved on your device
Readings you open are remembered in your own browser, so you can find them again under My readings. That list never leaves your device, and you can clear it there at any time. If you ask us to email your readings, we look up your purchases in Stripe by that email address and send the links only to that inbox.
Emailing a reading, and the monthly email
If you ask us to email you a free reading, we send that one email with its link through Resend, and we don’t keep your address for anything else. The monthly Saju email is separate: we only add you if you tick its box, and we record when and where you signed up. Every monthly email says who it’s from and has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away. Your birth details are never added to the mailing list.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t build advertising profiles from your birth details.
Analytics
If analytics is switched on, we record anonymous usage events, like “a reading was viewed”, through Google Analytics with IP anonymisation turned on. Your birth details are never attached to them: the address of every page is cut off before the question mark, so the part of the link that carries your details, or your access to a paid reading, is never sent.
Your choices
